The firm represents businesses and entrepreneurs in complex litigation across a broad range of practice areas including business litigation, real estate litigation, class action defense, sports and entertainment law, insurance coverage, product liability, appellate practice, bankruptcy litigation, and commercial collections. The Role This is a full-time Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney role. You will work closely with partners and senior associates on a variety of civil litigation matters, assisting with all phases of litigation from inception through resolution in state and federal courts and arbitration. What you'll be doing: Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other court filings Making court appearances and attending depositions and mediations Assisting with trial preparation Working directly with partners in a collaborative boutique environment Qualifications 1 to 4 years of relevant civil litigation experience in a law firm setting Hands-on experience drafting motions, managing discovery, and making court appearances is a strong plus Experience in one or more of the firm's practice areas is a strong plus Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple matters effectively Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and genuine interest in growing with the firm J.D. from an accredited law school (Top 100 preferred) Active admission to the California State Bar Compensation & Benefits Base Salary $150,000 to $190,000 depending on experience Bonus Structure Monthly bonus for billable hours above 150 hours per month Origination bonuses ranging from 10% to 20% for clients brought to the firm Historically these incentives have increased associate compensation by approximately 7% to 15% above base annually Annual discretionary bonus Benefits Medical insurance (Blue Shield) — firm covers 75% of employee premiums and 25% of dependent premiums Dental and vision insurance (Guardian) Free life insurance with $25,000 death benefit; optional supplemental life insurance available 401(k) retirement plan after 1 year of continuous employment 16 paid days off annually (9 PTO, 6 sick leave, 1 floating holiday); PTO increases after 5 years Firm-observed paid holidays Fully paid parking or fully reimbursed monthly Metro pass Laptop and home office equipment provided $1,000 annual marketing reimbursement for CLE events, networking, and professional conferences Work Schedule Hybrid — 3 days in office per week with full flexibility to choose your own days; no advance approval required Business casual attire; casual Fridays Culture & Growth Direct partner mentorship and meaningful responsibility from day one Opportunity to build your own book of business over time Active social committee — past events have included Dodger games, food tours, escape rooms, trivia nights, and community volunteer events
