Junior Infection Control Nurse

Overview

Reporting to the Head of Nursing, the selected candidate will be responsible for the prevention of infection, surveillance, investigation and control of infection.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring infection prevention and control practices across the hospital.
• Participate in surveillance and data collection related to infection cases.
• Support the delivery of staff training and awareness sessions on infection control.
• Assist in implementing hospital infection control policies and procedures.
• Contribute to infection control reports and provide input to the Infection Control Committee.
• Educate patients and staff under supervision regarding infection prevention measures.

Qualifications

• Minimum - Certificate in General Nursing
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience (experience and certification in infection control will be an advantage)
• Possess leadership skills
• Demonstrate self-motivation, quick learner, organized, attention to detail and able to multi-task
