As a Key Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage and expand sales through strategic partners. The focus is on offering customer‑oriented solutions to property developers, consultants, installers, and contractors.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Manage the project business, by actively identifying and developing potential target customers, customer groups as well as already existing partners
- Detect customer needs and develop solution approaches and sales strategies by adapting existing product and service solutions with existing customers
- Establish and maintain a long‑term and solid relationship to customers and decision‑makers (e.g. with design‑offices, architects, utility‑companies, etc.)
- Acquire projects and follow them until completion
- Conduct customer visits and provide technical advice and support to customers regarding the system design. Prepare and conduct necessary sales material and activities, such as presentations, sales training, participation on trade fairs and events, as well as coordination with internal departments
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be cost effective in all contracts and purchasing undertaken in the department
- Proactively look to take cost out of department / business through efficiency and automation
- Compliance with Panasonic’s Policies, Processes, and Procedures
- Partaking of all corporate requirements e.g. ISM. CSR, Antibribery & Corruption, Competition Law
- Benchmarking activities
- General administration
- Undertaking of any project within the skill set of the position
- Attendance of required training
- Undertaking of business trips
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor- or Master Degree in (business-) engineering focusing on building / supply engineering; heating or refrigeration and air conditioning technician, master craftsman heating, etc.
- Minimum of 2-4 years work experience in the sector, preferably in sales or key‑accounting
- Experience in the field of project business (spec-in business) and in dealing with large customers and key accounts
- Fluent in Dutch, strong command of English
- Preferably based in the area between Maastricht and Apeldoorn, to be able to travel throughout the South/East area of The Netherlands
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Proficient understanding and know how in processes, technologies, products or other relevant field of expertise
- Effective utilization of recognized planning, analytical or conceptual principles and techniques
- Knowledge of local legal regulations
- Understanding and applying principles of effective project management
- Ability to apply financial or technical data knowledge to provide sound analyses in order to drive results significantly and support respective management decision
- Understands impact of legislation and law regulations relevant to the business or function
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent understanding of TCO and ROI to sell based around value
