Labor & Employment Associate – Employment Advice & Investigations

Los Angeles, CA | Mid-Level | 3–5 Years Experience

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a talented Labor & Employment Associate to join its growing Employment Advice & Investigations practice in Los Angeles.

This is an excellent opportunity for an employment attorney who enjoys advising employers on complex workplace issues and wants to work alongside an experienced, collaborative national team.

• Counsel employers on a broad range of California employment law matters.
• Advise on discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination issues.
• Counsel clients regarding leave laws and wage & hour compliance.
• Conduct and assist with workplace investigations.
• Analyze complex employment issues and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national practice.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Labor & Employment practice.

• 3–5 years of labor and employment experience, preferably representing employers.
• Strong California employment advice and counseling experience required.
• Experience with discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, leave laws, and wage & hour matters.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex legal issues.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and client-focused.
• J.D. and active California Bar admission required.

• $260,000–$390,000 base salary, depending on experience
