Overview IT Lab/Application Specialist role in Albany, NY. 6+ month contract, onsite. Responsibilities Support the end-user desktop including, but not limited to, troubleshooting issues, implementing approved software, and removing older software versions Setting-up, maintenance and administration of end user computer devices and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations

Some troubleshooting of lab instruments/lab computer systems interfaces. Assist in data storage solutions Duties will include troubleshooting and repair of OS's, MS Office Suite products including Outlook email and calendar issues, a variety of 3rd party software applications, hardware issues, laptop parts replacement, imaging, data wiping, asset control, and detailed ticket documentation Required Skills Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, multi-tasking skills, ticket management/documentation skills, written and verbal communication skills are required

Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources Strong written and verbal communication skills Provide positive customer experiences when working with users
