Lead Data Scientist

We’re hiring a Lead Data Scientist to join a leading banking/financial services environment in Lisbon with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week).

What you’ll do:

• Lead and technically guide a Data Scientists team and analytics professionals, ensuring the implementation of best practices.
• Drive the adoption and integration of AI solutions across projects, fostering innovation and efficiency.
• Oversee the development of Power BI dashboards and data science models, ensuring high quality and impactful insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic goals and translate them into technical solutions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the team.
• Ensure project deliverables meet deadlines, quality standards, and business objectives.
• Mentor team members, supporting their professional growth and technical capabilities.
• Stay current with industry trends in AI, data science, and BI tools to continuously enhance the team’s skill set.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 9 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience in leading technical teams, ideally in AI and data-driven projects.
• Strong expertise in Power BI and data visualization best practices.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in real-world scenarios.
• Experience implementing data science solutions within a corporate environment.

Language Required for the role:

• Good communication skills in English (minimum B2 level).
