Mr. Restoration is seeking a Lead Water Mitigation Technician to help restore properties by delivering fast, safe, and thorough water damage remediation services in the Middle Tennessee area.
Position SummaryThe Lead Water Mitigation Technician is responsible for leading on-site water mitigation efforts from initial assessment through completion. This role coordinates daily work activities, supports a team during restoration processes, and ensures every job is completed with quality workmanship and strong customer communication.
You will follow established safety practices and industry-standard procedures to control moisture, reduce damage, and support effective restoration. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and skilled at directing others while maintaining a calm, professional presence in high-impact situations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead water mitigation jobs by conducting initial inspections, identifying affected areas, and planning effective mitigation strategies.
Set up and operate mitigation equipment to control moisture and support drying and restoration outcomes.
Direct daily field activities, including task assignments, workflow coordination, and worksite readiness.
Monitor conditions throughout the remediation process and adjust methods as needed to achieve drying goals.
Maintain job documentation and communicate progress, next steps, and any risks clearly to stakeholders on-site.
Hands-on experience in water mitigation, restoration, or a closely related field, including familiarity with drying processes and moisture control.
Demonstrated ability to lead on-site tasks, keep work organized, and support a team in executing remediation plans.
Strong commitment to safety practices, including proper handling of equipment and attention to jobsite hazards.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures and updates professionally to customers and team members.
Ability to work onsite in varied conditions, including lifting, moving equipment, and working in affected environments.
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role within mitigation, restoration, or a related service environment.
Knowledge of moisture mapping, documentation practices, and quality checks used to verify mitigation progress.
Experience working with emergency or time-sensitive projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with industry best practices for cleaning, containment, and damage reduction across different property types.
A strong service mindset, with the ability to remain professional and solution-focused during stressful situations.
