Are you an experienced Legal Counsel looking to make a strategic impact in an international, innovation-driven environment? In this role, you will advise senior business leaders on complex legal matters, influence key business decisions, and help shape the legal framework for new products, services, and business models.
Description
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders, providing strategic guidance on commercial, corporate, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements while managing legal risks and coordinating with external legal counsel where required.
- Support business transformation initiatives by advising on areas such as privacy, intellectual property, governance, compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and new business models.
- Drive legal governance by developing legal strategies, delivering training, monitoring regulatory developments, and supporting cross-functional projects from start to finish.
Profile
- A Master's degree in Law.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or in a comparable legal role.
- Qualification to practice as an in-house counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience with commercial contracting, corporate law, compliance, privacy, intellectual property, or regulatory matters.
- Experience supporting international organizations or complex matrix environments is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with mergers & acquisitions, healthcare, technology, or new business models (such as XaaS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- You live in the Netherlands.
- Client requests 3 days on site.
- This position covers a maternity leave and is not suitable for freelancers!
