Job Description
We are working with a leading international hospitality and real estate platform with a strong presence across Asia and beyond. As part of its continued growth, the business is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join its established regional legal team. This role offers a broad and engaging scope, with a primary focus on data privacy and intellectual property, alongside exposure to key commercial arrangements within the hospitality sector. Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise on data protection and privacy matters, including regulatory compliance, cross-border data transfers, and internal policy frameworksSupport intellectual property matters, including brand protection, licensing, and portfolio managementReview, draft, and negotiate hotel management agreements (HMAs) and related commercial contractsProvide day-to-day legal support to business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictionsPartner closely with operational, marketing, and technology teams on legal and compliance initiativesSupport the development and implementation of policies, processes, and training in relation to privacy and IPWork collaboratively within an established regional legal team and manage external counsel where required
RequirementsQualified lawyer with ~4–8 PQEStrong experience in data privacy and/or intellectual property (both preferred)Exposure to commercial contracts, ideally within hospitality, real estate, or consumer-facing industriesFamiliarity with hotel management agreements (HMAs) or similar operational contracts is advantageousPrior in-house experience is preferred but not essentialCommercially minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regional, stakeholder-driven environment
