Legal Counsel

• Provide strategic legal counsel as a business partner and uphold and foster the highest standards of integrity within ABB.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Effectively and pragmatically manage legal risks.
• Review and negotiate contracts, draft commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and team members, and collaborate with contract management.
• Monitor legal affairs, including litigations and activity reports, and occupy a seat at the table on local strategic business matters.
• Ensure good corporate governance (including structuring, drafting, and negotiation) in your area of accountability within the country, with respect to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)/divestiture transactions.
• Support in anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and develop appropriate strategies to address them.

Requirements

• Degree in law from an established US university.
• Law firm experience and In‑house experience preferred.
• You hold current bar admission valid in a US State.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
• You are at ease communicating in English. French and/or German helpful.
• You enjoy working as part of a full‑service team integrated into our business.
• Willingness to work with AI and in a digitally enabled environment.
