About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Engineer, someone who is as comfortable stress-testing an AI output as they are advising a client. This role sits at the core of our product, bringing together legal rigour, quality assurance, and client success.
You will act as the legal conscience of our platform, making sure what we build is accurate, defensible, and genuinely useful for lawyers who rely on it every day. If you are excited about shaping the future of legal practice from the inside, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
Legal Quality Assurance
Take ownership of end-to-end legal QA for the platform, including designing test cases, reviewing AI outputs, and validating features before releaseIdentify legal inaccuracies, logical gaps, and edge cases in AI-generated content across areas like corporate and employment lawBuild and maintain a structured QA framework with test scripts, issue logs, regression checklists, and legal accuracy benchmarksWork closely with engineering teams to triage and prioritise legal bugs, clearly separating critical legal risks from UX issuesContinuously audit platform outputs against evolving laws, court rules, and legal practice standardsAnalyse customer usage data and conduct competitive research to help shape a user-focused product roadmap
Legal AI Prompt Engineering and Workflow Automation
Design and refine system prompts to improve accuracy, tone, and legal relevance of AI toolsCollaborate with corporate and in-house legal teams to build automated workflows that reduce time spent on repetitive tasks
Client Onboarding and Training
Lead tailored onboarding sessions for corporate counsel and in-house legal teamsWork with clients across Indian and international markets, gaining exposure to cross-jurisdictional practicesTranslate platform capabilities into practical value for each client, helping drive adoption and long-term engagement
Product Feedback and CollaborationRepresent the voice of the legal user by turning client pain points and QA findings into structured product recommendationsAct as a bridge between customer-facing teams and product development, ensuring legal integrity throughout
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a lawyer with 3-5 years of experience in corporate or in-house practice who is curious about technology and how it can improve legal work. You do not need to code, but you should think clearly, communicate well, and enjoy working at the intersection of law and product.
Must Have
LLB or LLM with 3-5 years of experience in corporate or in-house legal practiceStrong skills in legal drafting, compliance, and advisory work with the ability to quickly spot weak legal outputsExcellent communication skills and confidence in working with clients and cross-functional teamsAnalytical thinking with the ability to translate real legal problems into product insights
Nice to Have
Experience in legal operations or product environmentsExposure to AI tools, prompt engineering, or workflow automationFamiliarity with tools like Notion, Slack, Linear, Loom, Customer.io, PostHog, Navattic, Phoenix Cloud, or HubSpot
