Licensing Program Manager I – El Segundo Regional Child Care Office
The CDSS Community Care Licensing Division is currently accepting applications for a Licensing Program Manager I for the El Segundo Child Care Regional Office.
Under the supervision of a Licensing Program Manager II, the Licensing Program Manager I (LPM I) in the El Segundo Regional Child Care office is responsible for monitoring and supervising the activities of a unit of Licensing Program Analysts and performs quality assurance reviews, plans and conducts individual and group training, reviews complaint investigations, provides technical and supervisory direction in the office and the field, and reviews monthly intake and production reports. The LPM I may act as the Division representative with other agencies, recruit and hire new staff, meet with facility representatives, and recommend administrative actions against noncompliance licensees. The LPM I supports the office in maintaining CCLD Policies and Procedures.
Must be able to travel. Spanish preferred but not required. English-only candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions
Occasional telework may be permitted.
Use of a computer for several hours a day which involves sitting most of the time but may include walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings, workshops and training associated with job duties. Work hours and schedules may vary.
Office amenities include gym access and paid parking available.
This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment.
Proof of California residency may be required.
Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.

- Experience with leading a diverse team with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
