Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Loss Prevention Officer, located in Toronto, ON. The Loss Prevention Officer will be responsible for mitigating risks of theft, monitoring and reviewing surveillance systems, conducting routine patrols, and implementing security measures to safeguard assets. Additional duties include collaborating with team members, reporting suspicious activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies to prevent loss and maintain a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Retail Loss Prevention and expertise in theft prevention tactics
- Strong Communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management, and law enforcement
- Knowledge and practical experience with Physical Security systems and protocols
- Proficiency in Surveillance techniques, equipment usage, and monitoring systems
- Understanding of Prevention strategies and risk mitigation practices
- Ability to remain calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform active patrols as part of the job responsibilities
- Completion of security and loss prevention training programs is a plus
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security services, or related roles is preferred
