Job Description
AMF Consulting is partnering with a leading electrical contracting and consultancy business to recruit an experienced Maintenance Project Manager for the Cork/Kerry region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to take ownership of a busy maintenance portfolio, leading teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
Brief Overview
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Maintenance Project Manager will oversee maintenance works from initiation through to completion. You will coordinate resources, monitor performance and KPIs, manage client relationships and ensure all works meet contractual, safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage electrical maintenance works across Cork and Kerry.
- Coordinate weekly schedules, resources and site activities to meet targets.
- Liaise with clients and Local Authority representatives on scope, progress and site requirements.
- Monitor KPIs including fault levels, ticket status, productivity and completion times.
- Manage project risks, budgets, resources and changing priorities.
- Ensure all works comply with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Lead, support and develop the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate project systems, dashboards and documentation.
- Provide regular operational and KPI updates to management.
- Oversee project close-out, final measurements, certification and associated documentation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Civils or a related discipline.
- Level 6 Craft Electrical Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing electrical projects.
- Experience in RECI Testing & Verification.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, scheduling, planning and safety standards.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, resources and project performance.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in public lighting, utilities, road opening licences or civil works is desirable.
- PMP, PSCS or additional electrical certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with Proworks, Deadsure or Skillko would be an advantage.
