Role Description The MakerSpace Educator & SEN Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Nellore. The educator will design and facilitate hands-on MakerSpace activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and STEM-based learning, including projects using simple tools, materials, and educational technologies.
The role includes planning and delivering differentiated lessons for learners with special educational needs (SEN), providing individualized support, accommodations, and behavior management strategies. The educator will collaborate with other teachers, counselors, and families to develop personalized learning plans, track progress, and maintain documentation and reports. Day-to-day tasks include lesson planning, classroom instruction, mentoring learners, organizing resources and safety procedures in the MakerSpace, conducting assessments, and participating in school meetings, events, and professional development.
QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience in classroom instruction and learner-centered pedagogy.Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and Training skills to design structured, engaging sessions and support learners' skill development.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for interacting with learners, families, and colleagues, and for preparing clear reports and documentation.Candidates should ideally have experience or training in special education, inclusive classroom practices, and individualized education plans.A bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Special Education, STEM, or a related field is preferred.Experience working in a school setting, MakerSpace, STEM lab, or project-based learning environment will be an advantage.Ability to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment and to manage diverse learning needs.Comfort with basic educational technologies, hands-on materials, and continuous professional development.
