We are seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our Private function. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working closely with private clients while taking ownership of client relationships, workflow management, and team development.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax, accounting, and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of business and high net wealth clients. Working closely with Partners and Directors, you will oversee compliance and advisory engagements, provide strategic taxation advice, review work prepared by junior team members, and contribute to broader business planning initiatives.
This role offers the perfect balance of leadership and hands‑on technical involvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others while remaining actively involved in complex client matters.
What You Will Do
- Manage a portfolio of business and high net wealth clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary relationship contact
- Review and oversee the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other taxation compliance obligations across a variety of entity structures
- Provide hands‑on technical support across complex taxation and accounting matters
- Assist clients with strategic tax planning and advisory matters including corporate tax, CGT, Division 7A, trust taxation, and business structuring
- Manage workflow, budgets, and deadlines to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of client engagements
- Lead, mentor, and coach junior team members through technical guidance and professional development support
- Review work completed by junior accountants and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery
- Identify opportunities to add value through proactive advisory, consulting, and strategic business support
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing growth and success of the firm
- Stay current with taxation legislation, accounting standards, and industry developments
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a medium to large Australian Chartered Accounting firm
- Strong technical expertise across tax and business services for business and high net wealth clients
- Demonstrated experience reviewing taxation compliance and financial reporting work across multiple entity structures
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax, capital gains tax, Division 7A, trust taxation, and business structuring matters
- Proven ability to build and manage strong client relationships in a professional services environment
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior staff within a collaborative team culture
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive, hands‑on leadership approach with strong commercial acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
