Manager, Supply Chain Projects at The Home Depot in Vaughan, ONL4H 3V1 Job Description Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 At The Home Depot Canada, we want you to feel valued and supported. The Project Manager, Supply Chain Projects, will have the responsibility to provide Project Management and delivery of Supply Chain Projects by partnering with both internal teams and external partners. The Project Manager will work with Real Estate partners, Construction & design consultants, Finance, business, contractors, vendors and technology teams on ongoing projects monitoring progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets/budgets are met.
The project manager is responsible for Capital Management & tracking on related projects. Success in this position will require a focused approach to day‑to‑day management of projects which includes but is not limited to timely execution of project tasks, transparent communication, escalation, and collaboration with delivery partners. Responsibilities Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility Manage all activities related to initiating and executing projects with cross‑functional partners both internal and external Ensure that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budget Develop a detailed project plan and provide project status reporting – tasks and due dates Ensure projects are executed within The Home Depot standards Track multiple steps/tasks concurrently in project deployment phase with multiple teams Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables Perform risk management to minimize project risks Track and maintain project financials & capital as it relates to the end‑to‑end delivery Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 10% of the time.
Experience & Knowledge Required Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time‑in‑position (2 years) Must have minimum 3-5 years supply chain and/or project management experience Strong knowledge of project management methodology (PMP certification is a definite asset) Detail oriented, ability to multi‑task and prioritize responsibilities to maintain deadlines Ability to think logically, critically and analytically Strong communication, written and verbal communication skills required; ability to persuade or influence others; ability to present and interpret information to promote action and decision making. Ability to influence others with no formal authority. Experience in documenting project progress with keen focus on delivery details Good knowledge of SAP is an asset Experience and knowledge of ‘Distribution Operations’, network design and forecasting and replenishment are assets.
