Manufacturing General & Engineering - Maintenance Technician 4

Assignment Duration: 12 months (extension subject to performance and overall fit)

Role Summary

The technician supports the company owned and development vehicles within the Product Assurance Garage, performing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, and maintenance activities across diverse vehicle architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and related vehicle systems
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, inspections, and component replacements
• Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs and adjustments
• Follow the company and manufacturer procedures, specifications, and safety requirements
• Document repairs, maintenance actions, and parts usage accurately
• Communicate vehicle status, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Stay current with evolving automotive technologies and service practices

Core Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma with 5+ years of automotive technician experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability
• Proven experience using diagnostic tools and specialized automotive equipment
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, variable work environment
• Comfort operating across multiple vehicle platforms and technologies
• Strong attention to documentation, quality, and safety compliance
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new automotive technologies

Preferred

• Proficiency with GlobalConnect, MDI, and the company diagnostic tools
• Experience with vehicle instrumentation and sensors
• Qualifications include EV capabilities and electrical/mechanical innovation support
