Job Description
Job Responsibilities Branding & Core Values Adhere to Weld Food Bank (WFB) Core Values. Safeguard WFB’s logo and brand integrity. Maintain a consistent corporate voice throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Marketing & Communications Strategy Plan and execute the food bank’s annual Marketing Plan. Manage and direct campaigns in collaboration with team members, volunteers, committee members, and board members as needed. Partner with the Chief Development Officer to strategize prospects, methods, and personnel.
Coordinate external community partnerships, cause marketing, and other fundraising events with the Development Team. Content Creation & Branding Implementation Coordinate and review all external material to ensure consistent branding and messaging. Provide marketing support, including design and print of collateral, for all food bank programs, fundraising initiatives, food drives, and events.
Consult with staff on public‑distribution materials and approve all before release. Oversee design and implementation of all vehicle wrap projects. Create and maintain food bank apparel, including volunteer shirts.
Ensure ethical use of artificial intelligence aligns with WFB’s messaging and does not compromise our voice. Digital & Traditional Media Management Update and maintain WFB’s web presence, including the food bank website, Vivery, Charity Navigator, and Guidestar. Maintain and create content for Weld Food Bank information on social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Oversee all mass email marketing, including graphic design, content, and contact list maintenance through Constant Contact, in collaboration with the Individual Giving Manager. Oversee digital marketing campaigns for select food bank events and campaigns. Manage billboard marketing campaigns.
Provide the Individual Giving Manager with requested materials from WFB’s direct mail company, including original content for newsletters and the annual report. Write and send press releases to all media. Serve as WFB’s main point of contact for all local and national media, including print, television, and radio.
Collect and archive media featuring WFB. Storytelling & Community Engagement Develop and maintain a database of client contacts and stories for use in print and promotional materials. Create, maintain, and enforce all food bank talking points for consistent messaging across departments.
Support opportunities to co‑brand with Feeding America and Feeding Colorado when appropriate. Represent WFB at appropriate outside marketing, publicity, and PR events as assigned. Work occasional evenings and weekends to arrange and make presentations to community groups.
Photo, Video & Multimedia Production Capture photographs and maintain WFB’s media library. Oversee all video content for WFB, both internal and external, ensuring it matches WFB’s messaging and voice, including the video presentation for the annual fundraiser, Stone Soup. Internal & Strategic Support Work with the Chief Executive Officer to develop materials and presentations for Board meetings, Board retreats, and WFB Strategic Planning.
Assist with bulk mail needs of the Development team. Participate in special projects as requested and other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 3‑5 years of marketing and communications experience.
Nonprofit and fundraising experience strongly preferred. Graphic design experience, including Photoshop and/or Canva, preferred. Video and/or photography experience preferred, but not necessary.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and adhere to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision using independent judgment for decision‑making.
Ability to oversee team members, volunteers, committees, and board members on specific campaigns. Must be willing to work in all areas of food bank operations as needed and on evenings and weekends. Flexible and adaptable personal style.
