Company Description: ElektrumTechnologies is an early stage startup that has been awarded an NSF STTR Phase I grant to develop an innovative ultra-low-cost manufacturing process for transparent conductive electrodes ( https://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=2451340 ). Job Description: ElektrumTechnologies is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to prototype process modules for an innovative , automated , additive electronics manufacturing process.The individual in this role will be responsible for taking the design of the equipment from a concept stage to initial prototypes and eventually to the construction of a pilot-scale validationbuild(Phase II).This role involves the design, testing, andanalysis ofnew mechanical systems for process equipment used in the roll-to-roll manufacture of electronics.A successful candidatemust be able to solve problems outside their respective technical area. Roles and Responsibilities:

Prototype Development Translateearly concepts intobasic CAD models/drawings; then,into functional prototypes using rapid-prototyping methods (3D Printing, CNC machining, etc.) Developplans and protocols fortesting and validation anditeratedesigns based on results

Generateand releasedesign outputs (schematics, BOMs, drawings) Identifyand qualifyvendors for custom components Integrateprocess design and control systems

Minimum Qualifications: Fluency in 3D CAD software for quick turn concept models&drawing updates Analytical and problem solving skills as applied to mechanical engineering

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with design of wet process equipment Prior experience with automation, system integration, and machine development

Demonstrated ability building functional prototypes, writing requirements, and developing formal test protocols Education and Experience: Minimum Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant engineering field Seniority level Seniority level Entry level
