- Workdays: Monday to Friday

- Salary: ₹35,000+ per month

We are seeking an experienced and certified Medical Coder with strong expertise in laboratory coding, particularly wellness and toxicology testing panels.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with hands-on experience in laboratory coding for wellness and toxicology services. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of coding and billing for laboratory panels such as CBC, CMP, BMP, Lipid Panel, Hemoglobin A1C, Thyroid Panels, Vitamin Testing, Drug Screening, Toxicology Testing, and other wellness-related laboratory services.
The candidate will be responsible for assigning accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines, and supporting clean claim submissions and reimbursement processes.
Key Responsibilities Laboratory Coding
- Review laboratory orders, requisitions, and test results.
- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for wellness and toxicology laboratory services.
- Code laboratory panels including CBC, CMP, BMP, Lipid Panels, A1C, Thyroid Testing, Vitamin Panels, Drug Screens, and Toxicology Testing.
Billing & Compliance
- Ensure coding compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer, and industry guidelines.
- Review claims for coding accuracy and identify potential billing issues before submission.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and payer requirements.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct coding audits and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Identify trends in denials and recommend corrective actions.
Documentation Review
- Analyze physician orders, laboratory documentation, and patient records to support accurate code selection.
- Communicate with providers and billing teams to clarify documentation when necessary.
Revenue Cycle Support
- Assist with claim corrections, appeals, and coding-related inquiries.
- Support reimbursement optimization while maintaining compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience.
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory coding experience preferred.
- Strong experience in wellness and toxicology coding.
- Thorough knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Experience coding laboratory panels such as CBC, CMP, BMP, Lipid Panels, A1C, Thyroid Testing, Drug Screens, and Toxicology Testing.
- Familiarity with Medicare and commercial payer laboratory billing guidelines.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical billing software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with diagnostic laboratories.
- Knowledge of laboratory revenue cycle management.
- Experience handling coding audits and denial management.
