Role Details

St Joseph’s School, Clare, is seeking a passionate, dedicated Middle School educator, who understands the unique nature of adolescents, to join our vibrant school community.

The Opportunity:

Full-time 1.0FTE Replacement Teaching position, commencing at the beginning of Term 4 2026 until the end of 2027, able to teach some or all of the following: 

• Physical Education, Health, Science, Mathematics
• The role will also include Middle School Sports Coordination with release time provided to support this.

Incentives are available for working in the country, including relocation expenses and additional NIT for graduate teachers.

About You:

• Demonstrate an understanding of current Middle School (7-9) Pedagogy
• Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity, faith formation and Josephite Charism of the school and parish community
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Physical Education, Health, Science and Math curricula
• Able to design and creatively implement inclusive learning programs which meet the needs of all students, with a high emphasis on student engagement and success
• Plan, teach and assess authentic and differentiated learning experiences using the Australian Curriculum
• Be familiar with emerging information and communication technologies and be willing to integrate ICTs across the curriculum to support student learning
• Promote student personal responsibility through an ability to make children's learning fun and enjoyable
• Develop positive relationships with students, staff and parents
• Be willing to participate in all aspects of school life

The township of Clare is well resourced with retail shopping options, 2 supermarkets, cafes, banks, butchers, bakeries, numerous sporting clubs and facilities, and more.

Clare is an easy commute to Adelaide (1.5hrs) and just 50 minutes from the beach, 50 minutes from the river and in close proximity to the Flinders Ranges. There are many tourist attractions close by including wineries and bushwalks.
