The Opportunity
The Product Support & Project Manager leads regional (LATAM) Brand Support activities and is accountable for the lifecycle management, maintenance, continuous improvement, and supply reliability of assigned global and regional brands. Acts as the primary LATAM interface to Global Brand Teams, ensuring alignment between regional needs and global product strategies while maximizing product value throughout the lifecycle. Responsible for driving and coordinating key business and technical processes, including gross margin improvement through cost optimization initiatives, supply chain optimization, process and product improvements, geographical expansions, technology transfers, new product introductions (NPIs), lifecycle management (LCM) initiatives, and maintenance of product compliance in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
The position could be based on Florencio Varela, Argentina; Santiago de Chile, Chile, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil; or other locations across LATAM.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the LATAM representative and primary point of contact within Global Brand Teams for assigned products and brands.
- Lead regional brand support activities and lifecycle management initiatives across the product portfolio, drive continuous improvement programs and identify opportunities to improve product quality, supply reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Identify, develop, and execute Cost Initiatives to improve product gross margin and business performance. Maintain close collaboration with Manufacturing Operations, providing leadership and support for process optimization, troubleshooting, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional support for product transfers, site changes, market expansions, and strategic supply initiatives.
- Support New Product Introductions (NPIs), including Business Case reviews, project prioritization, and development of project plans.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to improve product profitability, quality, robustness, and business continuity.
- Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, tools, and best practices across the S&T and Technical Centers organization.
- Manage budgets, including internal resource allocation, external expenditures, and cost tracking to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Assess business and technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive risk management across the portfolio.
- Facilitate strategic decision-making by providing business insights, portfolio visibility, and data-driven recommendations.
Minimum Education and Experience/ Training Required
- BSc degree in a scientific or technical field preferably in Life sciences, pharmacy or engineering is required. Master’s Degree/Ph.D. in a scientific or technical field preferably in Life sciences, pharmacy or engineering is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in Technical Operations, Product Lifecycle Management, Manufacturing, Product Development, Technology Transfer, or related technical functions.
- Demonstrated expertise in CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) throughout the product lifecycle, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP requirements, regulatory compliance, and operational constraints.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex, cross-functional projects involving Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Development, and external partners.
- Experience driving lifecycle management initiatives, continuous improvement programs, technology transfers, supply optimization projects, cost reduction initiatives, and New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- Strong project and portfolio management capabilities, including strategic planning, prioritization, governance, resource allocation, budget management, risk mitigation, and KPI monitoring.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and build effective relationships across global, regional, and local organizations, as well as with Third-Party Manufacturers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and business information to diverse audiences and senior leadership.
