Neurology Physician

Neurohospitalist locums coverage in Georgia, inpatient adult service with 7 day blocks and no call. Expect straightforward neuro consults and stroke first call in a Cerner environment.

Practice Setting

• Inpatient neurohospitalist coverage, adult patients only
• Average 10 to 15 patients per shift
• Stroke first call for the service
• Supported by a neurohospitalist team and full support staff

Schedule

• 7 day blocks, Monday through Sunday, availability must match open blocks
• Rounding hours are 8a to 5p
• No call
• Credentialing typically 2 to 6 weeks

Cases and Procedures

• Stroke, seizures, status epilepticus, encephalopathy, meningitis and encephalitis
• Guillain-Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis crisis, acute headache and migraine, dizziness and vertigo
• Detailed neurologic exams, CT and MRI interpretation, EEG interpretation
• tPA assessment and administration, lumbar puncture, seizure medication management

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Neurology
• Active Georgia medical license
• Open to IMLC Physicians with an active LOQ
