Nocturnist Opportunity - Stamford, CT

Stamford Health is seeking a full-time nocturnist to join our Hospitalist team. Stamford Hospital is a 305-bed, not-for-profit community teaching hospital affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. The incoming nocturnist will provide supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents in the Department of Medicine and Family Practice.

The nocturnist will also provide medical consultation as necessary for surgery and OB/GYN residents and will provide emergency inpatient coverage of medical patients on the non-teaching medical service.

Highlights:

• Work with 2-3 other nocturnists per shift

• Private spacious patient rooms in our 10-story state-of-the-art hospital tower

• Average five admissions per night/physician.

• 7 days on, 7 days off.

Requirements:

• MD/DO

• CT licensed or the ability to secure one

• BE/BC required; Internal Medicine highly preferred

• Prior inpatient experience to effectively carry out essential responsibilities

• Excellent communication skills, critical care and computer skills
