Position Summary
Lama Pediatric Therapy is seeking a compassionate, motivated Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This position provides pediatric occupational therapy services to children with a variety of developmental, sensory, neurological, orthopedic, and feeding needs in our clinic setting.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, creative, and passionate about helping children develop the skills needed for independence and participation in everyday life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate pediatric clients using standardized and informal assessments.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and goals.
- Provide engaging, child-led occupational therapy sessions.
- Address fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and feeding goals as appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with Speech Therapists, BCBAs, RBTs, and families to provide coordinated care.
- Educate and coach caregivers on strategies to promote carryover at home.
- Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical collaboration.
- Maintain compliance with ethical, state, insurance, and organizational standards.
- Foster a positive, welcoming experience for every child and family.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Florida Occupational Therapist license.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Pediatric experience.
- Experience with sensory integration principles.
- Feeding therapy experience.
- Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming practices.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
