Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ORSA and Stress & Scenario Testing specialist to support a leading general insurance organisation. This role will have a particular focus on strengthening and delivering key elements of the risk and capital framework, with ORSA and Stress & Scenario Testing experience being the primary requirement.
The firm are located in West Yorkshire with the role being offered on a hybrid or home based contract and day rate to be discussed based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support ORSA activities, including the development of scenarios, stress testing and assessment of capital adequacy.
- Deliver robust Stress & Scenario Testing, providing effective challenge to assumptions, methodologies and outputs.
- Review and challenge Business Plan assumptions, ensuring appropriate alignment with the organisation's risk profile and capital position.
- Support analysis and oversight of Capital and Solvency Capital Ratio projections and assumptions.
- Provide independent Pricing oversight and challenge, ensuring pricing decisions and methodologies are subject to appropriate risk and governance review.
- Work closely with Risk, Actuarial, Finance and senior stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and assurance.
- Prepare clear reporting and materials for senior management and relevant governance committees.
Essential Experience
- Strong, hands-on experience of ORSA delivery within an insurance environment.
- Significant experience in Stress & Scenario Testing.
- Experience challenging Business Plan assumptions, capital projections and solvency positions.
- Good understanding of Capital and Solvency Capital Ratio requirements.
- Experience of Pricing oversight, review and challenge activities.
- Ability to operate independently and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
