Job Description
Position Overview:
An entry-level Registered Nurse role responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a dialysis setting. The role involves assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients, including delegation of tasks to care staff, participating in decision-making, education, leadership, and quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient data collection and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on treatment options and care procedures.
- Administer medications and respond to emergencies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and contribute to staff training.
- Ensure laboratory procedures are correctly performed and documented.
- Maintain compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with current state licensure.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology experience; dialysis experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, standing, and assisting with patient mobility.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills.
