Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient clinic visits, including new patient evaluations and follow-up appointments
- Perform post-operative patient management and follow-up care
- Round on hospitalized neurosurgical patients
- Evaluate and manage inpatient consults
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, labs, and imaging
- Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR Qualifications
- Current Texas license as a Physician Assistant
- NCCPA certification
- Previous neurosurgery, surgery, orthopedic, spine, or inpatient experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team Schedule & Compensation
- Primarily MondayFriday schedule
- Typical clinic hours approximately 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
