Job Description
Muree Golf Club is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join our team in Raymond Terrace, NSW.
Working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the Club, ensuring our accounts are accurate, up to date and maintained in accordance with relevant requirements and Club procedures.
This is a hands‑on role requiring someone with proven bookkeeping experience who is confident working independently and taking ownership of their responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank, credit card and account reconciliations
Processing supplier invoices and payments
Payroll processing and associated reporting
Superannuation and payroll-related obligations
Assisting with BAS, GST and other statutory reporting requirements
Month‑end processing and reconciliations
Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
General financial and administrative support
Assisting with membership administration when required
Preparing correspondence, spreadsheets and other documentation
Previous bookkeeping experience is essential for this position.
We're looking for someone who has:
Minimum 3 years' demonstrated bookkeeping/accounts experience – essential
Strong practical knowledge and experience using Xero – essential
Demonstrated experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
Payroll processing experience
Sound understanding of GST, BAS and general accounting principles
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
A professional and confidential approach when handling financial and employee information
Experience within a licensed club, hospitality or similar environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.
RSA and RCG qualifications are desirable, or a willingness to obtain them.
