Payroll Administrator

Payroll/HR Generalist position ** PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT CONSIDER CANDIDATES WITH NO PRIOR HR AND/OR PAYROLL EXPERIENCE. **RESTAURANT Payroll Experience is PREFERRED. Overall knowledge of HR (HR Generalist) is PLUS Required Years of experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience Job Responsibilities: Payroll Processing: Accurately calculate wages, salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Process payroll for hourly/ tipped and salaried employees.

Generate and distribute paychecks or initiate direct deposits. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications.

Reconcile payroll transactions with the general ledger. Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll or software issues or concerns. Assist employees with payroll-related questions and issues.

Data Management: Maintain employee payroll records, including data such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, retirement numbers, employment anniversary, years of state service, deduction information, direct deposit requests, and tax forms. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax laws and regulations. Prepare and submit payroll reports to relevant agencies.

Assist with audits by providing records and documentation. Other Duties (include, but are not limited to): Update employee information in the payroll system. Complete verification of employment forms as requested by third parties.

Scan and attach employee documents to employee files in payroll system.
