Mu-Del Electronics is seeking a highly skilled PCB Design Engineer with strong experience in high-speed, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design. This role will be responsible for end-to-end PCB development, from concept and schematic capture through layout, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, hands-on debugging experience, and the ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop complex multi-layer PCBs including digital, analog, RF, and power circuitsPerform schematic capture, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis using AltiumDevelop high-speed designs involving interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, LVDS, and DDRConduct simulation and modeling using tools such as LTspice, PSpice, and ADS for RF and EMC performanceCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers to ensure design integrationPerform board bring-up, validation, debugging, and root cause analysisSupport DFM/DFA processes, including generation of fabrication and assembly documentation (BOMs, Gerbers)Participate in design reviews, testing, and product lifecycle improvements Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field4+ years of experience in PCB design and developmentStrong expertise in mixed-signal and RF circuit designExperience with high-density, high-speed PCB layoutsProficiency with tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, ADS, LTspiceHands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g. STM32)Knowledge of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB, EthernetFamiliarity with EMC/EMI design practices and testingStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsStrong problem-solving and debugging capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environmentsExcellent communication and documentation skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RF systems, GPS, or avionics hardwareExperience designing for aerospace, defense, or industrial applicationsExperience with FPGA or GPU-based systemsExperience working with MRP/ERP systems and working in a manufacturing environment
