Physical Security Specialist

This position will support security administration requirements at various facilities. Duties will include physical and/or industrial security, access control, and force protection. This position requires the ability to work independently, supporting our customers on site. 

Primary Duties:Carry out support tasks related to physical security administration within Security Operations Centers (SOC's) in multiple facilities on NAS Patuxent River.Camera surveillance, access control coverageFirst responder coordination, watch coordinationAlarm testing, call box monitoring and testing, operating systems maintenance coordinationData retrieval, CAC PIN reset, swipe access processesTraining record maintenance and other clerical/administrative duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skillsSelf-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to qualityMicrosoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPointAbility to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to work independentlyAbility to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlinesDetail orientedExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issuesAbility to adapt to evolving technology​Education and Experience:Must have a high school diplomaMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearanceDoD experience is a plusClearance:

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Compensation:

While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $35,000 to $39,000.
