Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryThis position will primarily be based in Guam, supporting the Guam Construction Group. This position provides installation, alteration, additions, and/or repairs of plumbing systems, piping, and associated materials and equipment within the plumbing construction industries. This is a field position and may require travel to various areas in Guam; hours worked while in travel status could be up to 12 hours per day.There are full-time and part-time positions available!
These positions are located in Guam.The pay range for this position is $19.48-$30.00/hour.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.Completes light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required.Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices. Minimum QualificationsPlumbing LicenseOne (1) or more years of experienceStrong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainageAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordinglyAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsFamiliarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copperProficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversionKnowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rulesValid Driver’s License and clean driving recordAbility to use common hand tools, power tools, and other related equipmentAbility to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screeningAbility to pass a background check for Federal Agency to obtain security access badgingUnited States Citizen or Permanent ResidentPreferred QualificationsMaster Plumber LicenseHigh School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)OSHA 10 Training CertificateKnowledge and experience with Alaska Native culturesShareholder PreferencePursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses in all phases of employment.
