When you join Fusion, you become part of a collaborative, missionfocused organization that values technical excellence and a steadfast commitment to national security.Position SummaryFusion is seeking qualified Power Plant Operations & Maintenance Technicians (Generator Mechanics) to support mission-critical power generation operations in Omaha, Nebraska.
This position is responsible for the operation, monitoring, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators, electrical switchgear, compressed air systems, fuel systems, and associated control equipment.Key Responsibilities:Operate diesel generators, electrical switchgear, and associated control systems in automatic and manual modesMonitor plant systems, including voltage, frequency, load balance, alarms, and equipment status to ensure safe and reliable operationsRestore emergency power within required response timelinesPerform routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, operational checks, and corrective maintenances activitiesExecute switching operations in accordance withapproved procedures and safety requirementsRespondto power failures, equipment malfunctions, alarm conditions, and other operational emergenciesDocument operational data, inspections, deficiencies, maintenance actions,and requiredlogs and reportsIdentify maintenance requirements and report deficiencies to managementSupport troubleshooting, testing, repair, and maintenance of diesel generators, fuel systems, compressed air systems, and related equipmentAdhere to all applicable safety, security, environmental, and mission-essential service requirementsQualifications Experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing power generation, industrial mechanical, electrical, or similar equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and equipment documentationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience with diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution systems, or industrial plant operationsOSHA 10 certification or equivalent safety trainingMilitary, technical school, apprenticeship, or related industry experienceAdditional InformationThis position supports a 24/7 mission-critical operation and is covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA).
