President / Chief Executive Officer - Nonprofit
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $130,000–$145,000 base - Bonus potential
About the Role
A growing nonprofit serving children with disabilities is seeking a President / Chief Executive Officer to lead day-to-day operations and support the organization's continued growth. This role offers the opportunity to expand programs, strengthen operations, and enhance services for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day operations.
- Develop and execute strategic and operational plans.
- Build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, facilities, and operational performance.
- Establish performance metrics and organizational goals.
- Improve systems, processes, and infrastructure.
- Ensure an exceptional experience for children, families, and community stakeholders.
- Support long-term growth, expansion, and strategic initiatives.
- Build relationships with community partners and donors.
Required Qualifications
- Executive leadership experience managing complex organizations.
- Strong operational, financial, and strategic leadership skills.
- Proven success building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience leading organizational growth and change.
- Decisive, solutions-focused leadership style.
- Passion for serving children, families, and communities.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Nonprofit organizations
- Education
- Children's museums
- Hospitality or guest experience
- Recreation or sports
- Family entertainment
- Healthcare
- Other mission-driven organizations
Hospitality leadership experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary - $130,000–$145,000
- Performance bonus - Total compensation may exceed $200,000
