Procurement Engineer - 12-Month Contract Oxfordshire (Hybrid/Flexible) Global OrganisationI'm currently partnering with a global leader in healthcare technology to recruit a Procurement Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Oxfordshire.Pay rate: up to £300 per dayThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly innovative business whose products are used worldwide to improve access to life-saving medical imaging. The RoleAs a Procurement Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping sourcing strategies and optimising product costs across a complex, global supply chain. You'll work closely with engineering, procurement, and suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective components are delivered consistently.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead cost analysis and cost optimisation activities across the product lifecycleDeliver value engineering initiatives (should-cost modelling, benchmarking, etc.)Support design teams with cost estimates and manufacturing insightsCollaborate with global suppliers to meet design-to-cost and manufacturability targetsSupport procurement teams during supplier negotiationsDrive continuous improvement and support digital procurement initiativesBuild strong relationships with international stakeholders What's on OfferFlexible and hybrid working environmentOpportunity to work within a globally recognised organisationExposure to international teams and suppliers (up to 20% travel)Work on cutting-edge engineering projects with real-world healthcare impact About YouExperience:Background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similarExperience within procurement, engineering, or supply chainStrong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, fabrication, assemblies)Proven experience in cost analysis and cost optimisationSkills:Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective communicator with strong stakeholder management skillsConfident working in cross-functional and international teamsProactive, organised, and able to work independently Why Apply?This is a unique opportunity to combine engineering expertise with strategic procurement in a role that directly supports global healthcare innovation.
