JOB DESCRIPTION: Procurement Manager Job Title: Procurement ManagerReporting to: CEO/CFOMinimum Qualification: Engineering graduateDesired Qualification: MBA (Supply Chain)Required experience range: 10 - 12 years.Target industry: Logistics/supply chainDepartment: Procurement & Sourcing Role Objective:The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations across ATL, ensuring cost efficiency, process standardization, and compliance with procurement policies. The role will focus on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and driving value across procurement categories while maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Sourcing & Cost OptimizationDevelop sourcing strategies across key categories (transportation, manpower, equipment, fuel, and other spends)Lead commercial negotiations to achieve best value for moneyDrive rate contracts, benchmarking, and cost optimization initiativesTrack and report savings and procurement efficiencies2.
Procurement ExecutionManage end-to-end procurement cycle including:Requirement understandingVendor sourcingRFQ / tenderingCommercial negotiationsContracting and PO issuanceEnsure procurement activities are aligned with ATL's procurement policy and approval matrixDrive consistency and standardization across locations3. Vendor ManagementIdentify, evaluate, and onboard vendors in line with company standardsMaintain and update a centralized vendor databaseConduct periodic vendor performance reviews and drive improvementsEnsure competitive sourcing through multi-vendor approaches 4. Compliance & GovernanceEnsure adherence to procurement policy, approval matrix, and contracting guidelinesMaintain proper documentation and audit trails for all procurement transactionsSupport internal and statutory audits by providing required documentation and clarificationsIdentify and flag any deviations or risks in procurement processes5.
Process Improvement & DigitizationDrive continuous improvement in procurement processesSupport implementation of digital tools for:RFQ managementVendor trackingProcurement analyticsEnhance visibility and transparency across procurement activities6. Risk ManagementEvaluate vendor risks and ensure due diligence during onboardingEnsure fair, transparent, and ethical procurement practicesMonitor dependencies on critical vendors and suggest mitigation strategiesKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Cost savings and value deliveredProcurement cycle timeVendor performance and reliabilityCompliance with procurement policy and approval processesAudit observations and closure timelinesVendor base optimization
