Procurement Manager
Electro Automation Ltd
Job Description
Build a Group Procurement Function. Drive Commercial Value. Influence Business Growth.
Location: Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 (occasional travel across Group companies)
Are you ready to build something rather than inherit it?
Electro Automation Group is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager who wants to make a genuine impact.
This isn't a role where you'll simply process purchase orders or manage suppliers.
We're looking for someone who can develop and lead a modern procurement function, bringing together purchasing activities across multiple businesses, identifying opportunities to leverage Group buying power, strengthening supplier relationships and delivering measurable commercial value.
You'll work closely with senior leadership across our Irish, Northern Ireland and UK businesses to create a more strategic, collaborative approach to procurement that supports both our day-to-day operations and our ambitious growth plans.
If you enjoy improving how organisations buy, negotiating smarter commercial agreements and influencing business decisions, this could be exactly the challenge you're looking for.
Founded in 1984, Electro Automation Group is one of Ireland and the UK's leading providers of automation, access control and integrated security solutions.
Operating from Dublin, Lisburn and Birmingham, we design, install and support industry-leading automation systems including automated gates, barriers, access control, CCTV, turnstiles, parking systems and integrated security technologies.
Our Group also includes NEAT Gates, specialists in premium aluminium gates and outdoor living products.
Today, more than 150 people work across the Group, and we're continuing to invest in our people, technology and infrastructure as we grow.
What You'll Be Doing
Your primary focus will be Procurement.
You'll lead procurement strategy across the Group, working collaboratively with each business to streamline purchasing activities, maximise buying power and ensure we're achieving the best commercial outcomes.
You're
Developing a Group Procurement Strategy
- Building a best-in-class procurement function across multiple Group companies
- Identifying opportunities to consolidate suppliers and improve purchasing efficiencies
- Negotiating commercial agreements and long-term supplier partnerships
- Delivering measurable cost savings without compromising quality or service
- Creating procurement policies, governance and purchasing controls
- Managing strategic supplier relationships
- Monitoring supplier performance and KPIs
- Improving supplier accountability and service delivery
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and added value
One of the most important aspects of this role is collaboration.
You'll partner with operational leaders across all Electro Automation businesses to understand purchasing requirements, identify common procurement opportunities and create consistent procurement practices that benefit the Group as a whole.
You'll become the central point of expertise for procurement, helping every business make smarter commercial decisions.
Supply Chain & Inventory
Alongside procurement you'll also oversee:
- Inventory optimisation
- Warehouse and stores performance
- Stock accuracy
- Supplier lead times
- Purchasing planning
- Working capital improvements
Rather than managing day-to-day warehouse activities, your focus will be ensuring procurement and inventory operate together efficiently to support the wider business.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has at least 7 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Commercial Purchasing
- Has successfully negotiated supplier agreements and delivered cost-saving initiatives
- Understands procurement within engineering, automation, manufacturing, construction or technical environments
- Can influence stakeholders across multiple departments and business units
- Enjoys improving processes rather than maintaining the status quo
- Thinks commercially while building strong supplier partnerships
- Is confident analysing purchasing data and making evidence-based decisions
- Enjoys leading change and building new ways of working
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Professional Procurement or Supply Chain qualifications (CIPS or equivalent)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems
- Multi-site or multi-company procurement experience
- Experience supporting ERP implementation or digital transformation projects
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies
This is an opportunity to build something meaningful.
You'll have the backing of an experienced leadership team that recognises procurement as a strategic business function rather than simply an administrative process.
You'll be trusted to influence how the Group purchases, manages suppliers and supports future growth.
Your work will directly impact commercial performance, operational efficiency and long-term business success.
- Company Pension Scheme
- Flexible Working & Early Finish Fridays
- Professional Development & Training
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Bike to Work Scheme
- Company Laptop & Mobile Phone
- Social Events & Charity Initiatives
- Long Service Recognition
- On-site Parking
Why This Role Stands Out
This isn't just another Procurement Manager position.
It's an opportunity to create a procurement function that supports a growing international business.
You'll have the autonomy to improve processes, influence strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships and deliver real commercial results while working with an ambitious leadership team that values fresh ideas and continuous improvement.
If you're ready to take ownership of procurement across a growing Group and build something you'll be proud of, we'd love to hear from you.
