Procurement Specialist
Develops complex buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials; expedites as needed and serves as liaison between vendors and users. Resolves complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices. Develops project plans and purchasing systems; reviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases.
Negotiates prices, terms and quality requirements; develops requests for quotes and develops new supply sources; evaluates market conditions. Guides value analysis to identify cost improvements, develops cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.
- To manage a work-que and secure that POs are issued in due time.
- Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners), engineering team, supplier quality teams, operation teams to ensure customer care and early involvement
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers relationships, negotiate price increase requests, prepare RFQ packs, onboarding suppliers, run bidding processes, and conduct negotiations for medium Purchasing Volumes.
- Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems)
- Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
- Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities.
