About TANUHTANUH (Translational AI for Networked Universal Healthcare) is an IISc-anchored Section 8 Company on a mission to ensure that frontline healthcare delivery workers have access to AI and digital technologies that work to support them and combat NCDs. We are funded by the Ministry of Education and google.org and function as an AI Centre of Excellence.
RoleThe Platform Product Manager will help conceptualize and build an AI platform for frontline care in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). The role involves bringing validated AI solutions onto the platform and ensuring the programmes that deploy those solutions produce trustworthy, actionable evidence of impact.
This role is for you if you prefer ownership of business outcomes and not feature sets. You will work directly with clinical AI research teams building AI decision support solutions to help them deploy and shape the pathway to scale. This role sits at the intersection of AI integration, programme design, data architecture, and product thinking.
You will work directly with the TANUH research teams, field NGO partners, and the engineering team. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial and action-biased and impatient to push towards impact, while engaging and influencing health system stakeholders.
Job DescriptionDesign the Programme ExperienceDefine the experience for site level partners who are accountable for the success metrics of a health programShape the dashboards and reports that make TANUH's data legible to district and state health teams
Build the Evidence and Data ArchitectureWork with engineers on data interoperability and platform architecture that allows new AI screening tools to be integrated
Define What to Build Next and WhyOwn the platform product roadmap. Identify what is most important next by synthesising partner feedback, government data requirements, engineering capacity, and the evidence needs of ongoing evaluations
Collaborate with Engineers on ArchitectureWork closely with the engineering team on decisions that shape the platform's long-term scalability: how the data model handles multiple disease verticals, how multi-tenancy works across partners and geographies, how the AI tool integration pathway is standardised.Write specs that capture both the programme logic and the technical requirementsInvolve engineers in understanding the programme context. Prototype platform concepts using AI tools before committing engineering effort
Experience7+ years of product management, health informatics, or data platform work ideally involving multi-stakeholder systems where data flows between field teams, implementing organisations, and government.Experience with health data standards (FHIR, DHIS2, OpenHIE) or health information systems is a strong advantage. Familiarity with India's NHM reporting structures, HMIS, or ABDM is valuable.Experience building or managing platforms where field partners or implementing organisations are primary users Demonstrated ability to work productively with engineers on architectural decisions. Show us a time your product thinking shaped a data model or integration approach.Comfort with early-stage environments, ambiguity, and building things that don't exist yet.
Proficiency with modern AI and prototyping tools to rapidly validate concepts with stakeholders before engineering investment.
