Biotek India is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our Colour Cosmetic Division in Vadodara. This is an exciting opportunity for a budding chemist to dive into the world of pigments, textures, and cosmetic innovation.

Position OverviewRole: Trainee / Junior Formulation ChemistLocation: Vadodara, Gujarat (On-site)Employment Type: Full-timeExperience: Fresher to 6 monthsDepartment: R&D / Colour Cosmetics

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a core member of our production and development team, your daily mission will include:Product Development: Assist in the formulation and development of new colour cosmetic products (lipsticks, foundations, eyeliners, etc.).Quality Control: Conduct rigorous QC checks on raw materials and finished goods to ensure they meet our "gold standard" for beauty.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all formulations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D and Production teams to transition formulations from the lab to large-scale manufacturing.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of batch formulations, stability testing, and supplier specifications.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.

Job RequirementsWe are looking for a candidate who brings a blend of scientific curiosity and technical discipline:Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of cosmetic formulation, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot batch inconsistencies or stability issues.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and supplier coordination.Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced laboratory environment.Technical Savvy: Familiarity with laboratory equipment and modern manufacturing technology is a major plus.

Qualifications & PreferencesEducation: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, or a related field.Experience: Open to Freshers or those with up to 6 months of experience in a lab setting.Candidate Preference: Female candidates are preferred for this role.
