We are looking for an experienced Production Planner with 6-8 years of experience in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement and availability of raw materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting seamless production flow as per customer demand and production plans. The role is crucial in avoiding line stoppages due to material shortages and in building strong coordination with suppliers.

• Ensure availability of all raw materials and maintain safety stock according to inventory norms
• Exposure to make the production plan based on the sales plan (material, manpower, machine, method – 4M)
• Plan raw materials and release schedule agreements according to production demand
• Maintain and update critical parts list for domestic items
• Prepare monthly MIS reports for PPC department
• Manage purchase orders for long-lead parts and follow up with suppliers
• Conduct supplier meetings, resolve delivery issues, and track dispatch plans, contingency planning & safety stocks
• Monitor supplier performance and prepare monthly delivery ratings

• Education:
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience:
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry
  • Proven track record in production planning and procurement
  • Hands-on experience in supplier coordination and inventory management
• Knowledge:
  
  • Proficiency in SAP PP and MM modules
  • Well versed with SAP T-codes, material movements in SAP, BOM, routing, ITR, cycle time, manpower planning etc. 
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Solid understanding of PPC processes, safety stock and material scheduling
• Skills:
  • Strong planning and organizational ability
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
