Job Purpose
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within a food manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of production processes, product quality, and food safety standards. While a formal quality qualification is not required, we’re looking for someone with strong technical knowledge gained from working on the production floor, who is organised, detail-oriented, and confident handling administrative tasks. This role would suit someone who is keen to develop their career in this area.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to our robust Quality Assurance program based on internationally recognised standards
- Maintain and improve on these standards to meet with annual audit and certification criteria
- Travel to both suppliers and clients as deemed necessary both domestically and internationally
- Conduct regular supplier visits to assess manufacturing practices, verify compliance with product specifications, and work collaboratively with suppliers to develop, validate, and continuously improve product specifications and technical documentation
- Visit customers to discuss quality performance and understand customers’ requirements for product specifications
- Form a clear and defined understanding of the processes and procedures used within the company and of all its transactions to identify process improvements and efficiencies
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly Quality reports
- Complete customer paperwork requests
- Complete supplier approvals in accordance with quality procedures
- Investigate customer complaints in a timely manner
- Manage product specifications
- Complete quality and process check of trade contracts
- Conduct regular internal audits of the Quality and ERP System
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Quality Documentation and SOP’s
- Conduct training sessions to educate employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices
- Champion a quality and continuous improvement culture within the company
- Employment could be best described as “hands on”.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- Candidates with experience in food manufacturing and/or 3rd Level Education
- A working knowledge of BRCGS standards, HACCP, Food Legislation
- The candidate will receive both mentoring and suitable training to assist in the role
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
