Job Description
Play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects and business operations across Transport and Main Roads! In this role, you’ll provide high quality administrative, financial and coordination support, manage records and systems, and work closely with stakeholders to keep teams running efficiently and delivering results.
An exciting opportunity exists for a temporary appointment, up to 31 December 2026, for an administrative all‑rounder who brings strong organisational skills, initiative and a can‑do attitude to supporting projects, people and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Working autonomously to deliver assigned activities within agreed timeframes and quality standards, in compliance with public sector legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Provision of comprehensive project and business support, including data analysis, reporting, database maintenance, and accurate record management across systems.
- Coordination and supporting people‑resource administration, including onboarding and offboarding of TMR employees and contractors.
- Drafting of correspondence, reports, minutes, submissions, and briefing notes of medium complexity, and maintaining accurate, accessible information within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

- Demonstrated effective analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to research issues, interpret and analyse information, determine an appropriate course of action and provide sound advice, options or recommendations.
