Role Description A hybrid role based in London & Suffolk, (with travel as required with flexibility for some home-working). We are looking for a Senior Risk Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO), supporting a major civil works programme. This role sits at the heart of project delivery, helping ensure effective risk management drives successful outcomes.
You will play a key part in leading risk activities, improving processes, and supporting delivery teams through proactive, insights-led risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large-scale project environment and be comfortable collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams What You’ll Be Doing Leading and coordinating risk management activities across the programme Providing expert risk advice and services aligned with PMO processes Managing and supporting a team of Risk Managers Collaborating with internal teams and partners to ensure effective risk practices Supporting programme-wide risk activities (e.g. forecasting, reporting, analysis) Producing risk reports, dashboards, and insights to inform decision-making Driving continuous improvement and innovation in risk management approaches Facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders at all levels What We’re Looking For We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds with experience in large or complex programmes. Key Skills & Experience: ESSENTIAL Strong leadership and team collaboration skills Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels Very strong mitigation-related skills underpinned by project controls experience Experience delivering risk management in complex project environments Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights Experience leading or contributing to Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) Excellent facilitation and communication skills Ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams effectively Desirable (but not essential): Experience across broader project controls (cost, schedule, change) Professional membership (e.g.
