Job Description
Working Location: Site Based – West SumbawaWorking Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
Some of your duties will include:Responsible for supporting the development, engineering design, and execution of electrical power systems, instrumentation systems, and process control systems for mining and mineral processing facilities.Provide electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering support for project development activities including concept study, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering.Develop and review electrical distribution systems, instrumentation architecture, and automation/control strategies for processing plants and mining infrastructure.Review engineering deliverables from EPC/EPCM contractors including SLD, load list, instrument index, control philosophy, cable schedule, and P&ID instrumentation loops.Support preparation of technical specifications, datasheets, and scopes of work for electrical and automation equipment procurement.Participate in technical bid evaluation and vendor clarification processes.Support construction, installation, and commissioning of EIC systems including MCC, VFD, PLC systems, instrumentation loops, and control panels.Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and system commissioning activities.Provide troubleshooting and technical recommendations during project commissioning and operational handover.Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company technical requirements
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics EngineeringMinimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical or instrumentation engineering in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, or EPC projectsDemonstrated experience in the design, development, and implementation of electrical power systems, instrumentation systems, and process control systems.Experience supporting project stages including concept study, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering.Proven capability in supporting construction, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control) systems.Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation architecture, and plantAbility to prepare and evaluate technical specifications, datasheets, and scopes of work for electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment.Experience participating in technical bid evaluations and vendor clarification processes.Hands-on involvement in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and system commissioning activities.Strong troubleshooting skills for EIC systems including MCC, VFD, PLC, instrumentation loops, and control panels.Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literatePreferred Certifications :Professional Engineer (PE) certificationElectrical competency certificationTraining in automation or PLC systemsHAZOP or Functional Safety trainingProject Management certification (PMP certification is an advantage)
