We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Air WA Construction team on a full-time basis, located in Bayswater. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating all site-related aspects to ensure the completion of various projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist in the project design phase from tendering through to delivery
Oversee and review plans, drawings, technical specifications, technician schedules, programs and provide recommendations and/or solutions when required
Plan, manage and monitor construction works
Actively participate in the development of detailed safe work method statements and identify and action key risk and opportunities
Providing technician planning input into the development of project schedules to ensure project milestones are met by engaging stakeholders
Assist in estimating variation works and additional scope changes
Assist with project reporting tasks and develop short term program of work
Identify and communicate change during project phase to control the impact on safety and project objectives
Review tendered documents and provide design alternatives
Troubleshooting and engineering based site problems
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, builders, consultants and architects
Conduct onsite quality assurance checks
Generate and manage the ITP and TC process
Provide regular updates to Project Managers on project timelines, change management and quality
Successful Candidate Will Have:
3 plus years’ experience as a project engineer within the mechanical service contractor industry or building services consultancy
Previous experience and proven track record in project engineering, management and delivery of mechanical services engineering on large-scale construction projects
Hands on experience in mechanical services design, shop drawing, development, design verification, engineering change management, document control, testing and commissioning process
Strong focus to safety and continuous improvement
Strong understanding of the Australian Building Codes and Australian standards in relation to mechanical services
Advance Microsoft Office experience, including MS projects
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work autonomously
High level of attention to detail and time management skills
Use of initiative and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Positive team player with a can do attitude
