Project Engineer (Permanent and Contract positions available) About this Position Providing project engineering expertise in the scoping, design & installation of process plant and packaging equipment projects across Dublin Sites. Engineering support for new & existing installation. What youll do Working as part of the engineering team to ensure the smooth development & handover of engineering controls from conception to commissioning and into sustaining operations. Preparing URS and agreeing scope for projects. Coordination of cross functional SMEs and engineering design consultants in project design phase, design risk and HAZOP assessments.
Preparing budgets and CAPEX requests for projects. Coordination of the project through procurement activities with purchasing org. Preparing and tracking project budget & schedule.
Project management, safely managing and directing contractors during construction phase. Commissioning, ramp up and hand-over to operations What makes you a good fit Minimum 4 years experience in project management within an engineering environment. Degree qualified in Mechanical, Process, Chemical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent hands-on industry experience).
Proven experience managing projects from concept through to commissioning and handover. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
Confident preparing and presenting project proposals and CAPEX requests to senior management. Experience working in a live production environment, ideally within a chemical or regulated setting. Able to lead teams and contractors, remaining calm and focused under pressure.
Strong logical problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-driven approach. Proficient in AutoCAD and confident using MS Excel, MS Teams and the wider MS Office suite (desirable).
