Job Summary
DUTIES: Install, configure & manage VMware virtualization tech. Oversee virtual servers, storage & network. Manage system backup & disaster recovery.
Maintain high service availability. Troubleshoot & resolve issues w/n the virtual infrastructure. Collaborate w/ IT professionals for system upgrades or migrations.
Optimize Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS). Integrate computing, networking & storage systems. Design & deploy UCS solutions.
Ensure effective troubleshooting & infrastructure reliability. Perform detailed root cause analysis & system upgrades. Maintain comprehensive documentation & knowledge dissemination.
Align virtual environment w/ org IT strategies & compliance regulations. Manage users & groups, role definition & cluster access in Cohesity Backup environment. Generate API keys for secure access & management of DataProtect as a Service setting.
Create DataLock Views & setting expiration dates for data security. Conduct recovery operations. Create LUNs in Storage for efficient storage management & provisioning to ESXi hosts.
Utilize GAVel for integration of Pure Storage w/ VMware environment. Automate tasks associated w/ LUN creation & provisioning. Monitor performance, manage capacity & optimize integration b/t Pure Storage arrays & VMware ESXi hosts.
Develop & implement an Identity & Access Management (IAM) program w/ policies & procedures. Manage user access to systems, apps & data. Ensure secure & appropriate access.
Monitor compliance w/ policies, regulations & customer requirements. Perform risk assessments & audits to identify & mitigate potential security risks. Investigate security incidents & recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Train users on IAM policies & procedures to promote security awareness. Stay informed about evolving threats, tech & solutions in the IAM field. Collaborate w/ other departments to integrate IAM solutions & ensure comprehensive security across the org.
Document IAM processes & procedures for clarity & compliance purposes. Address & resolve issues promptly. Escalate them when necessary to maintain security & service standards.
Analyze & filter alerts to identify potential threats. Ensure a proactive defense mechanism is in place. Utilize historical data w/ advanced diagnostic tools aids to resolve issues.
Guarantee the accuracy & upkeep of architectural records through careful navigation of complex workflows. Conduct regular monitoring & structured annual evaluations to measure the program's effectiveness. Pinpoint areas for improvement.
Communicate findings from evaluations to Management. Prepare equipment & document test results for future reference. Integrate GAVel w/ Cyber Security Tools.
Collaborate w/ platforms to ensure comprehensive & robust security posture. Spearhead the development & deployment of the GAVel system. Conduct a thorough evaluation of GAVel's implementation strategy.
Align project goals w/ business needs. Collaborate w/ infra teams to provision VMs across multiple cloud platforms. Enhance technical operations.
Develop a Machine Learning service. Integrate cross-functional team efforts. Contribute to tool development & product enhancement of machine learning algorithms.
Manage API configurations & database setups for GAVel. Ensure compliance w/ ITSM tool access protocols. Deploy IT infra solutions, including zDesk fabrics & Virtual Desktop profiling.
Design & implement connectors for ITSM & monitoring tools. Assist w/ creation the Gavel data store schema. Implement & validate prediction models for server components.
Validate data flow w/n the GAVel Dashboard & verify alerts to guarantee system reliability & efficiency. Customize & refine predictive analytics algorithms to align w/ specific client IT environments. Refine process workflows & utilize GAVel for effective risk mitigation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field. Employer deems 3 years of undergraduate study plus 1 year of experience in the computer field as equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years of experience in job offered or in related occupations of Lead Engineer, Computer Systems Engineer/Architect, Senior Engineer, Team Lead – Database Building, or related.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Computing, Azure Virtualization, Pure Storage, VMware ESXi, WhatsUpGold and Cisco Intersight.
- Travel to client sites may be required.
